Cycling 2014
Ok, I know it's only April, I do believe I can get 1000 miles in by the end of the year! 2013 saw considerable drop off, and I hope I can get my miles in, only if I'm ridding on weekends!

Cycling Saturday March 16
Rode 30 miles with an average of 17.3! Very good for me this time of the year. Luckily, I had a tailwind to help me for the remaining 10 miles. Working out at the Y has add strength to my riding. I should have been doing that from the beginning. Oh well!!

Cycling 2013
Sean and I went cycling Saturday. The weather was great and since I had been working out at the Y, I could tell the difference. After 44 miles, I finished quite stronger than usual. Hmm.

Cycling 2012
Well, another year of cycling winding down. Having rode over 2,000 miles, my mileage was down from previous years. Although, I managed to get serious miles picked up toward the end of the year. My only event was the Tour de Pig in October. It's usually the highlight of the cycling season. Good support, great ride, and of course, Bar-b-que. Total stats for 2012: average 16.7, average heart rate: 151, total calorie burn: 108,664, average miles per ride: 37.7, weight loss 5%, total miles: 2126. I am looking forward to 2013. My plans are to include the 3 mountain madness 47 mile route, and the Blood, Sweat, and Gears, 51 mile route, Boone, NC. See you out there!

Cycling in 2011 and 2012
Well, I finished the year having ridden 2304 miles. The mileage was down due to working from January to July, and mainly riding on the weekends. The desire is there to continue in 2012. I anticipate mileage drop from 2011, now that I have a job from 8-5. I hope the job last and becomes full time. I will be ok riding on weekends knowing that my responsibilities are met. I thank Rhonda for supporting me through a difficult time, and I hope I can do the same for her. 2012 will bring abundance, and I know that God has his hand in our lives. So, I'm not worried. My goal in cycling in 2012, is to do something I have not done before. Like, riding in the Blowing Rock, NC area or something that involves some climbing. I have improved in climbing and I have learned to control my breathing and heart rate. So there it goes.
